  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Toasted Sesame Oil Ensure it is toasted for flavor
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Soy Sauce Can use Tamari for Gluten-Free
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) Rice Vinegar Unseasoned preferred
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Honey Or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp (15g) Garlic Minced finely
  • 1 tbsp (15g) Fresh Ginger Grated
  • 1 tbsp (9g) Toasted White Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) Cracked Black Pepper Freshly cracked

  • 1 Glass Carafe For serving and storage
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Microplane For grating ginger

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mince the garlic and grate the fresh ginger until they form a fine consistency to ensure they stay suspended in the dressing.
  2. In a small bowl or carafe, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey until the honey is fully incorporated.
  3. Slowly pour in the toasted sesame oil while whisking to create a temporary emulsion.
  4. Stir in the sesame seeds, black pepper, garlic, and ginger. Transfer to a glass carafe for serving.

Notes

Allow the dressing to sit for 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld.
Shake vigorously before each use as natural separation occurs.
