  • 2 cups (225g) Mozzarella cheese Shredded, whole milk preferred
  • 4 oz (115g) Pepperoni slices Thin circular slices
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried basil

Equipment

  • 1 9x13 inch white rectangular ceramic baking dish
  • 1 Large Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Kitchen shears or knife

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch ceramic baking dish. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.
  2. In a bowl, toss biscuit pieces with 1 cup of pizza sauce until fully coated. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the biscuits. Top with mozzarella and pepperoni slices.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes until biscuits are golden-brown and cheese features toasted spots. Pepperoni should be crispy and curled.
  3. Remove from oven, sprinkle with dried oregano and basil. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for 1 minute at the end.
Freshly shredded cheese melts much better than bagged varieties.
