Bowl Components
  • 1.5 lbs Chicken Breast Sliced into strips
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Jasmine Rice Uncooked
  • 1.75 cups Water For rice
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes Halved
  • 1 medium English Cucumber Diced
  • 0.5 small Red Onion Thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup Kalamata Olives Pitted
  • 0.5 cup Tzatziki Sauce Creamy
  • 2 sprigs Fresh Dill For garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Heavy-bottomed skillet Cast iron preferred for better char marks.
  • 1 Large pot For cooking jasmine rice.

Method
 

Cook Rice
  1. Rinse jasmine rice until water runs clear. Combine with water and salt in a pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 15 minutes.
Prepare Chicken
  1. Season chicken strips with oregano and salt. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear until golden-brown with visible char marks.
Assemble
  1. Layer rice in a bowl. Arrange chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and olives in distinct sections. Top with tzatziki, dill, and extra oregano.

Notes

Use cast iron for the best char marks on the chicken.
Rinse your rice thoroughly to ensure it remains fluffy and not sticky.
