Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 16 oz full-fat block cream cheese, softened to room temperature (452g)
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream (15ml)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives (8g)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (4g)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (3g)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (3g)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (1.5g)
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper (1g)
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt (3g)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (5ml)
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme, for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Electric Hand Mixer Or a stand mixer.
  • 1 Large Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Rubber Spatula

Method

Main Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese. Using an electric hand mixer, whip on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes until the cream cheese is light, fluffy, and smooth.
  2. Add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and heavy cream. Mix on low speed until everything is just combined and uniformly distributed.
  3. Turn off the mixer. Add the chopped chives and parsley. Use a rubber spatula to gently fold the herbs into the dip until evenly incorporated.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Create some swirls on top for texture. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs and serve immediately or chill until ready.

Notes

Don't Rush the Softening: Truly room temperature cream cheese is the secret to a lump-free dip.
Use Freshly Cracked Pepper: The flavor and texture of pre-ground pepper don't compare.
Taste and Adjust: Before serving, always taste your dip and adjust seasonings if needed.
Make It Ahead: This dip can be made a day in advance; the flavors will meld and deepen overnight in the refrigerator.
