Ingredients

Recipe Ingredients
  • 1 lb Farfalle (Bowtie) Pasta 450g
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 450g, 90/10 lean recommended
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream 480ml
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese 90g, freshly grated
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley 10g, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Flakes to taste

Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet Used for searing beef and building the sauce.
  • 1 Pasta Pot For boiling the farfalle.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook farfalle in salted boiling water until 1 minute before al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until seared and crispy. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the beef. Pour in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened. Stir in parmesan until smooth.
  4. Toss the pasta with the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and red chili flakes before serving in shallow bowls.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother sauce melt.
Sear the beef without stirring initially to get a better crust.
