Ingredients

Gnocchi Ingredients
  • 16 oz Potato Gnocchi Shelf-stable or refrigerated
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic Mincer
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Finely grated
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley Chopped
  • To taste Salt and Pepper

Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet Cast iron or stainless steel preferred
  • 1 Microplane For fine parmesan grating

Method

Frying and Finishing
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add gnocchi in a single layer and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until charred and golden-brown.
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the center of the pan. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, then toss with gnocchi to coat.
  3. Remove from heat. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with snowy parmesan cheese and fresh parsley flakes before serving.

Notes

Do not boil the gnocchi first; frying them raw creates the best texture.
Ensure the pan is not crowded to allow for even browning.
