Prepare the Beef
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no pink remains, breaking it into small crumbles.
- Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
Assemble and Grill
- Lay tortillas flat. Add a layer of cheddar, the seasoned beef, and mozzarella in the center. Fold sides in and roll tightly.
- Heat oil in a skillet. Place burrito seam-side down. Cook for 2 minutes until golden brown with dark patches.
- Flip the burrito. Sprinkle reserved cheddar in the pan, place the burrito on top, and press down until the cheese forms a crispy crust.
Notes
Make sure the beef is drained well to prevent a soggy burrito.
