Preparation and Cooking
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season with garlic powder and half the cracked black pepper.
- Pour 1 cup (235ml) of BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar over the chicken. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours.
- Remove chicken, shred with forks into tender strands, then return to the pot with the remaining 1/2 cup (120ml) sauce to achieve a glossy finish.
- Top with thin red onion slivers, fresh cilantro, and the remaining cracked black pepper.
Notes
Use a hand mixer for faster shredding.
