Preparation
- Gently form ground beef into two thick patties, approximately 1-inch thick. Press a thumbprint into the center.
- In a cold cast iron skillet, lay bacon strips and cook over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, keeping the grease in the pan.
Cooking and Assembly
- Increase heat to medium-high. Season patties and sear in the bacon grease for 4-5 minutes per side.
- Add cheddar slices during the last minute of cooking and cover with a lid to melt.
- Top cheesy patties with bacon strips, a dollop of ranch, scallions, and bacon bits. Serve immediately on a white plate.
Notes
Use a high-quality ranch without added sugars to keep it keto.
