Burger Components
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 fat ratio preferred (450g)
  • 0.5 tsp Sea Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper Freshly cracked
  • 4 slices Thick-cut Bacon Cooked until crispy
  • 2 slices Sharp Yellow Cheddar
  • 2 tbsp Creamy Ranch Dressing Sugar-free for keto
  • 1 tbsp Green Scallions Finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Bacon Bits Extra crumbled pieces

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gently form ground beef into two thick patties, approximately 1-inch thick. Press a thumbprint into the center.
  2. In a cold cast iron skillet, lay bacon strips and cook over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, keeping the grease in the pan.
Cooking and Assembly
  1. Increase heat to medium-high. Season patties and sear in the bacon grease for 4-5 minutes per side.
  2. Add cheddar slices during the last minute of cooking and cover with a lid to melt.
  3. Top cheesy patties with bacon strips, a dollop of ranch, scallions, and bacon bits. Serve immediately on a white plate.

Notes

Use a high-quality ranch without added sugars to keep it keto.
Don't press down on the patties with a spatula while cooking or you'll lose the juices.
