Ingredients

Sandwich Components
  • 2 slices Sourdough Bread Thick-cut and toasted
  • 6 oz Chicken Breast 170g, boneless and skinless
  • 3 strips Smoked Bacon Cooked until intensely crispy
  • 1 slice Provolone Cheese Melted
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Aioli 30ml, creamy and glossy
  • 1 leaf Green Leaf Lettuce Ruffled
  • 2 slices Red Tomato Ripe and thick-cut

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet or Grill Pan For searing the chicken
  • 1 Meat Mallet To even out chicken thickness

Method

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Season chicken breast and sear in a hot skillet for 5-6 minutes per side until charred grill marks appear and internal temp is 165°F (74°C).
  2. Place provolone over the chicken in the last minute of cooking; cover with a lid to melt.
Assembly
  1. Toast sourdough slices and spread a generous layer of garlic aioli on the bottom slice.
  2. Stack lettuce, tomato, the cheesy chicken breast, and crispy bacon strips. Top with the second sourdough slice.

Notes

Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before assembling to keep the bread crisp.
Pound the chicken to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
