Preparation
- Place bacon in a cold skillet over medium heat. Fry until crispy and fat is rendered. Remove bacon and set aside, keeping the fat in the pan.
- Increase heat to medium-high. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sear for 5-6 minutes per side until a deep golden-brown crust forms. Remove chicken from pan.
- Add butter to the pan, then whisk in heavy cream and ranch seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens and coats a spoon.
- Return chicken to the pan. Top with shredded cheddar. Cover with a lid for 2 minutes until cheese is melted. Garnish with bacon and green onions.
Notes
Use a block of cheddar for better melting.
