Preparation
- Finely shred the iceberg lettuce and dice the white onion into small cubes. Prepare the burger sauce.
- Divide the ground beef into 8 balls, approximately 2 oz (60g) each. Season with salt.
Cooking
- Place a beef ball on a hot skillet. Top with a tortilla and press down firmly with a spatula until the beef is thin and covers the tortilla.
- Cook for 2 minutes until beef edges are crispy. Flip so the tortilla is on the bottom.
- Add a slice of American cheese and cover for 30 seconds to melt and toast the tortilla.
Assembly
- Remove from heat. Add lettuce, onion, pickles, and a drizzle of creamy burger sauce with black pepper.
Notes
Use 80/20 beef for the best flavor and grease glisten.
